João 15

1Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pai é o lavrador.

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Todo ramo que em mim não dá fruto, ele o tira; e todo o que da fruto, ele o limpa, para que dê mais fruto.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3Vós já estais limpos pela palavra que vos tenho falado.

3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4Estai em mim, e eu em vós; como o ramo de si mesmo não pode dar fruto, se não estiver na videira, assim vós também não, se não estiverdes em mim.

4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5Eu sou a videira, vós sois os ramos; quem está em mim, e eu nele, esse dá muito fruto; porque sem mim nada podeis fazer.

5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6Se alguém não estiver em mim, é lançado fora, como o ramo, e seca-se; e os colhem, e os lançam no fogo, e ardem.

6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7Se vós estiverdes em mim, e minhas palavras estiverem em vós, tudo o que quiserdes pedireis, e será feito para vós.

7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8Nisto é glorificado meu Pai, em que deis muito fruto; e assim sereis meus discípulos.

8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9Como o Pai me amou, também eu vos amei; estai neste meu amor.

9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10Se guardardes meus mandamentos, estareis em meu amor. Como eu tenho guardado os mandamentos de meu Pai, e estou em seu amor.

10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

11Estas coisas eu tenho vos dito para que minha alegria esteja em vós, e vossa alegria seja completa.

11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

12Este é meu mandamento: que vos ameis uns aos outros, assim como eu vos amei.

12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13Ninguém tem maior amor que este: que alguém ponha sua vida por seus amigos.

13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14Vós sois meus amigos, se fizerdes o que eu vos mando.

14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15Já não vos chamo mais servos; porque o servo não sabe o que faz seu senhor; mas eu tenho vos chamado de amigos, porque tudo quanto ouvi de meu Pai eu tenho vos feito conhecer.

15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16Não fostes vós que me escolhestes, porém eu vos escolhi, e tenho vos posto para que vades, e deis fruto, e vosso fruto permaneça; para que tudo quanto pedirdes ao Pai em meu nome, ele vos dê.

16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17Isto vos mando, para que vos ameis uns aos outros.

17These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que odiou a mim antes que a vós.

18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19Se vós fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria ao seu; mas porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso o mundo vos odeia.

19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20Lembrai-vos da palavra que vos tenho dito: não é o servo maior que seu senhor. Se me perseguiram, também vos perseguirão; se guardaram minha palavra, também guardarão a vossa.

20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21Mas tudo isto vos farão por causa do meu nome; porque não conhecem a aquele que me enviou.

21But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

22Se eu não tivesse vindo, nem lhes houvesse falado, não teriam pecado; mas agora já não têm pretexto pelo seu pecado.

22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

23Quem me odeia, também odeia a meu Pai.

23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24Se eu entre eles não tivesse feito obras, que nenhum outro fizera, não teriam pecado; mas agora as viram, e contudo odiaram a mim, e a meu Pai.

24If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

25Mas isto é para que se cumpra a palavra que está escrita em sua Lei: Sem causa me odiaram.

25But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

26Mas quando vier o Consolador, que eu do Pai vos enviarei, aquele Espírito de verdade, que sai do Pai, ele testemunhará de mim.

26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

27E também vós testemunhareis, pois estivestes comigo desde o princípio.

27And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
