Jubileus 14

1Depois dessas coisas, no quarto ano dessa semana, na lua nova do terceiro mês, a palavra do Senhor veio a Abram em um sonho dizendo: "Não temas, Abram. Eu sou teu defensor e tua recompensa será grandiosa."

1After these things, in the fourth year of this week, on the new moon of the third month, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a dream, saying: 'Fear not, Abram; I am thy defender, and thy reward will be exceeding great.'

2E ele disse: "Senhor, Senhor, o que tu me darás, visto que eu sigo sem filhos, e o filho de Maseq, o filho de minha serva é Dammasek Eliezer e ele será meu herdeiro e tu não me deste nenhum descendente."

2And he said: 'Lord, Lord, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go hence childless, and the son of Maseq, the son of my handmaid, is the Dammasek Eliezer: he will be my heir, and to me thou hast given no seed.'

3E Ele disse a ele: "Esse não será seu herdeiro, mas aquele que sairá de tuas próprias entranhas; ele será seu herdeiro."

3And he said unto him: 'This man will not be thy heir, but one that will come out of thine own bowels; he will be thine heir.'

4E Ele o trouxe para fora e disse a ele: "Olhe para o céu e conte as estrelas se tu puderes contá-las."

4And He brought him forth abroad, and said unto him: 'Look toward heaven and number the stars if thou art able to number them.'

5E ele olhou em direção ao céu, e contemplou as estrelas. E Ele disse pra ele: "Assim será sua descendência."

5And he looked toward heaven, and beheld the stars. And He said unto him: 'So shall thy seed be.'

6E ele creu no Senhor, e foi computado para ele como justiça.

6And he believed in the Lord, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

7E Ele disse a ele: "Eu sou o Senhor que te trouxe de Ur dos Caldeus para te dar a terra dos Cananeus para possuí-la para sempre. E Eu serei Deus a ti e a tua descendência."

7And He said unto him: 'I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee the land of the Canaanites to possess it for ever; and I will be God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.'

8E ele disse: "Senhor, Senhor, como saberei que eu herdarei?"

8And he said: 'Lord, Lord, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?'

9E Ele disse a ele: "Traga-me uma novilha de três anos, e uma cabra de três anos, e uma ovelha de três anos, e uma rolinha, e um pombo."

9And He said unto him: 'Take Me an heifer of three years, and a goat of three years, and a sheep of three years, and a turtle-dove, and a pigeon.'

10E ele trouxe todos eles no meio do mês e ele habitou no Carvalho de Mamre, que é próximo de Hebron.

10And he took all these in the middle of the month and he dwelt at the oak of Mamre, which is near Hebron.

11E ele construiu lá um altar, e sacrificou todos esses, e ele derramou o sangue deles sobre o altar, e os dividiu no meio, e os deitou uma de frente para outra; mas as aves ele não dividiu.

11And he built there an altar, and sacrificed all these; and he poured their blood upon the altar, and divided them in the midst, and laid them over against each other; but the birds divided he not.

12E aves desceram sobre as partes, e Abram as espantou, e não deixou que as aves os tocassem.

12And birds came down upon the pieces, and Abram drove them away, and did not suffer the birds to touch them.

13E aconteceu que, quando o sol se pôs, que um êxtase caiu sobre Abram e eis que um pavor da grande escuridão caiu sobre ele, e foi dito a Abram: "Saiba que com certeza a tua descendência será peregrina em uma terra que não é dela, e eles devem levá-los cativos, e afligi-los quatrocentos anos.

13And it came to pass, when the sun had set, that an ecstasy fell upon Abram, and lo! an horror of great darkness fell upon him, and it was said unto Abram: 'Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and they shall bring them into bondage, and afflict them four hundred years.

14E a nação que os mantiver cativos eu a julgarei, e depois disso eles devem sair bastante abonados.

14And the nation also to whom they will be in bondage will I judge, and after that they shall come forth thence with much substance.

15E tu deves te juntar a teus pais em paz, e ser enterrado em boa velhice.

15And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace, and be buried in a good old age.

16Mas na quarta geração eles devem voltar para cá; porque a iniqüidade dos Amorreus ainda não está completa."

16But in the fourth generation they shall return hither; for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.'

17E ele acordou de seu sono, e ele levantou-se, e o sol tinha se posto; e havia uma chama e eis que uma fornalha fumegava, e uma chama de fogo passou entre as partes.

17And he awoke from his sleep, and he arose, and the sun had set; and there was a flame, and behold! a furnace was smoking, and a flame of fire passed between the pieces.

18E naquele dia o Senhor fez uma aliança com Abram dizendo: "Para seus descendentes eu darei esta terra, do rio do Egito até o grande rio, o rio Eufrates. Os Kenitas, os Kenizzitas, os Kadmonitas, os Perizzitas, os Refaim, os Pharoquitas, os Hivitas, os Amoritas, os Cananitas, os Girgashitas, e os Jebusitas.

18And on that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: 'To thy seed will I give this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates, the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Perizzites, and the Rephaim, the Phakorites, and the Hivites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

19E o dia passou, e Abram ofereceu as partes e as aves e suas ofertas de frutas, e suas ofertas de bebidas, e o fogo as devorou.

19And the day passed, and Abram offered the pieces, and the birds, and their fruit offerings, and their drink offerings, and the fire devoured them.

20E naquele dia nós fizemos aliança com Abram, do mesmo modo como tínhamos feito aliança com Noé neste mês. E Abram renovou o festival e a ordenança para si mesmo para sempre.

20And on that day we made a covenant with Abram, according as we had covenanted with Noah in this month; and Abram renewed the festival and ordinance for himself for ever.

21E Abram alegrou-se, e contou todas essas coisas para Sarai sua esposa, e ele creu que ele teria uma descendência, mas ela não dava à luz.

21And Abram rejoiced, and made all these things known to Sarai his wife; and he believed that he would have seed, but she did not bear.

22E Sarai aconselhou a seu marido Abram, e disse a ele: "Vá com Hagar, minha serva egípcia: talvez seja que eu lhe traga descendentes por meio dela."

22And Sarai advised her husband Abram, and said unto him: 'Go in unto Hagar, my Egyptian maid: it may be that I shall build up seed unto thee by her.'

23E Abram seguiu a voz de Sarai sua esposa e disse para ela: "Faze assim." E Sarai tomou Hagar, sua serva egípcia, e a deu a Abram, seu marido, para ser sua esposa.

23And Abram harkened unto the voice of Sarai his wife, and said unto her, 'Do so.' And Sarai took Hagar, her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to Abram, her husband, to be his wife.

24E ele foi a ela, e ela concebeu e deu à luz um filho, e ele o chamou pelo nome de Ismael, no quinto ano dessa semana; e esse era o octogésimo sexto ano da vida de Abrão.

24And he went in unto her, and she conceived and bare him a son, and he called his name Ishmael, in the fifth year of this week; and this was the eighty-sixth year in the life of Abram.
