1No vigésimo nono jubileu, no início da primeira semana, Arfaxade tomou para si uma esposa e seu nome era Rasueja, a filha de Susan, filha de Elam, e ela deu a luz a um filho no terceiro ano desta semana, e ele o chamou Cainã.

1In the twenty-ninth jubilee, in the first week, in the beginning thereof Arpachshad took to himself a wife and her name was Rasu'eja, the daughter of Susan, the daughter of Elam, and she bare him a son in the third year in this week, and he called his name Kainam.

4And he wrote it down and said nothing regarding it; for he was afraid to speak to Noah about it lest he should be angry with him on account of it.

5E no trigésimo jubileu, na segunda semana, no primeiro ano, ele tomou para si uma esposa e o nome dela era Melca, a filha de Madai, filho de Jafet, e no quarto ano ele gerou um filho, e o chamou pelo nome de Shelá; porque ele disse: "Verdadeiramente eu fui enviado."

5And in the thirtieth jubilee, in the second week, in the first year thereof, he took to himself a wife, and her name was Melka, the daughter of Madai, the son of Japheth, and in the fourth year he begat a son, and called his name Shelah; for he said: 'Truly I have been sent.'

6E no quarto ano ele nasceu, e Shelá cresceu e tomou para si uma esposa, e seu nome era Muak, a filha de Kesed, irmão de seu pai, no trigésimo primeiro jubileu, na quinta semana, no primeiro ano

6And in the fourth year he was born, and Shelah grew up and took to himself a wife, and her name was Mu'ak, the daughter of Kesed, his father's brother, in the one and thirtieth jubilee, in the fifth week, in the first year thereof.

7E ela deu a luz a um filho no quinto ano e ele o chamou pelo nome de Éber: e ele tomou para si uma esposa, e o nome dela era Azurad, a filha de Nebrod, no trigésimo segundo jubileu, na sétima semana, no terceiro ano.

7And she bare him a son in the fifth year thereof, and he called his name Eber: and he took unto himself a wife, and her name was 'Azûrâd, the daughter of Nebrod, in the thirty-second jubilee, in the seventh week, in the third year thereof.

8E no sexto ano ela deu a luz a um filho, e ele foi chamado pelo nome de Pelegue; porque nos dias em que ele nasceu os filhos de Noé começaram a dividir a terra entre eles: por essa razão ele o chamou de Pelegue.

8And in the sixth year thereof, she bare him son, and he called his name Peleg; for in the days when he was born the children of Noah began to divide the earth amongst themselves: for this reason he called his name Peleg.

9E eles a dividiram secretamente entre si e contaram isso a Noé.

9And they divided it secretly amongst themselves, and told it to Noah.

10E aconteceu no início do trigésimo terceiro jubileu que eles dividiram a terra em três partes, para Shem, Ham e Jafet, de acordo com a herança de cada um, no primeiro ano da primeira semana, quando um de nós que havia sido enviado estava com eles.

10And it came to pass in the beginning of the thirty-third jubilee that they divided the earth into three parts, for Shem and Ham and Japheth, according to the inheritance of each, in the first year in the first week, when one of us who had been sent, was with them.

11And he called his sons, and they drew nigh to him, they and their children, and he divided the earth into the lots, which his three sons were to take in possession, and they reached forth their hands, and took the writing out of the bosom of Noah, their father.

12E aconteceu que o sorteado para o Shem era no meio da terra o qual ele deveria tomar como herança para si e seus filhos pelas gerações eternamente, A partir do meio da serra do monte Rafa, das bocas das águas do rio Tina, e sua porção vai até o oeste pelo meio desse rio, e se estende até alcançar as águas do abismo, das quais esse rio nasce e derrama suas águas no mar Meat, e este rio flui até o grande mar. E tudo o que está ao norte é Jafet, e tudo o que há ao sul pertence a Shem.

12And there came forth on the writing as Shem's lot the middle of the earth which he should take as an inheritance for himself and for his sons for the generations of eternity, from the middle of the mountain range of Rafa, from the mouth of the water from the river Tina, and his portion goes towards the west through the midst of this river, and it extends till it reaches the water of the abysses, out of which this river goes forth and pours its waters into the sea Me'at, and this river flows into the great sea. And all that is towards the north is Japheth's, and all that is towards the south belongs to Shem.

13And it extends till it reaches Karaso: this is in the bosom of the tongue which looks towards the south.

14And his portion extends along the great sea, and it extends in a straight line till it reaches the west of the tongue which looks towards the south: for this sea is named the tongue of the Egyptian Sea.

15E vira daqui até o sul pela boca do grande mar na costa de suas águas e se estende a oeste até Afra, e se estende até atingir as águas do rio Gihon, e ao sul das águas de Gihon, para as margens desse rio.

15And it turns from here towards the south towards the mouth of the great sea on the shore of its waters, and it extends to the west to 'Afra, and it extends till it reaches the waters of the river Gihon, and to the south of the waters of Gihon, to the banks of this river.

16E se estende a leste até atingir o jardim do Éden, ao sul dele, ao sul e a partir do leste de toda a terra do Éden e de todo o leste, e vira a leste e prossegue até alcançar o leste do monte Rafa, e desce até as margens da boca do rio Tina.

16And it extends towards the east, till it reaches the Garden of Eden, to the south thereof, to the south and from the east of the whole land of Eden and of the whole east, it turns to the east and proceeds till it reaches the east of the mountain named Rafa, and it descends to the bank of the mouth of the river Tina.

17Essa porção saiu por sorteio para Shem e seus filhos, que eles devem possuir para sempre pelas gerações.

17This portion came forth by lot for Shem and his sons, that they should possess it for ever unto his generations for evermore.

18E Noé alegrou-se porque sua porção foi sorteada para o Shem e seus filhos, e ele lembrou-se de tudo o que ele havia falado de sua boca em profecia; porque ele havia dito: "Bendito seja o Senhor Deus de Shem e que o senhor habite na habitação de Shem."

18And Noah rejoiced that this portion came forth for Shem and for his sons, and he remembered all that he had spoken with his mouth in prophecy; for he had said: 'Blessed be the Lord God of Shem And may the Lord dwell in the dwelling of Shem.'

19E ele sabia que o jardim do Éden é o santo dos santos, e a habitação do Senhor, e o monte Sinai o centro do deserto, e o monte Sião centro do umbigo da terra: Esses três foram criados como locais sagrados que fazem face um para o outro.

19And he knew that the Garden of Eden is the holy of holies, and the dwelling of the Lord, and Mount Sinai the centre of the desert, and Mount Zion —the centre of the navel of the earth: these three were created as holy places facing each other.

20E ele bendisse ao Deus dos deuses, que havia colocado as palavras do Senhor em sua boca, e o Senhor para sempre.

20And he blessed the God of gods, who had put the word of the Lord into his mouth, and the Lord for evermore.

21E ele sabia que uma porção abençoada e uma benção tinha alcançado Shem e seus filhos pelas gerações para sempre. Toda a terra do Éden, e toda a terra do mar vermelho, e toda a terra do leste e Índia, e no mar vermelho e as montanhas, e toda a terra de Bashan, e toda a terra do Líbano e as ilhas de Caftur, e todas as montanhas de Sanir e Amana, e as montanhas de Assur ao norte, e toda a terra de Elam, Assur e Babel, e Susan e Maedai, e todas as montanhas de Ararat, e toda a região além do mar, que é além das montanhas de Assur em direção ao norte, uma terra abençoada e espaçosa, e tudo o que há dentro dela é muito bom.

21And he knew that a blessed portion and a blessing had come to Shem and his sons unto the generations for ever —the whole land of Eden and the whole land of the Red Sea, and the whole land of the east and India, and on the Red Sea and the mountains thereof, and all the land of Bashan, and all the land of Lebanon and the islands of Kaftur, and all the mountains of Sanir and 'Amana, and the mountains of Asshur in the north, and all the land of Elam, Asshur, and Babel, and Susan and Ma'edai, and all the mountains of Ararat, and all the region beyond the sea, which is beyond the mountains of Asshur towards the north, a blessed and spacious land, and all that is in it is very good.

22And for Ham came forth the second portion, beyond the Gihon towards the south to the right of the Garden, and it extends towards the south and it extends to all the mountains of fire, and it extends towards the west to the sea of 'Atel and it extends towards the west till it reaches the sea of Ma'uk —that sea into which everything which is not destroyed descends.

23E segue em direção ao norte até os limites de Gadir, e segue até a costa das águas do mar até as águas do grande mar até se aproximar do rio Gihon, e vai seguindo o rio Gihon até alcançar a direita do jardim do Éden.

23And it goes forth towards the north to the limits of Gadir, and it goes forth to the coast of the waters of the sea to the waters of the great sea till it draws near to the river Gihon, and goes along the river Gihon till it reaches the right of the Garden of Eden.

24E esta é a terra sorteada para Ham como porção a qual ele ocuparia para sempre para si e seus filhos pelas gerações para sempre.

24And this is the land which came forth for Ham as the portion which he was to occupy for ever for himself and his sons unto their generations for ever.

25E para Jafet foi sorteada a terceira porção além do rio Tina para o norte da vazão de suas águas, e se estende a nordeste por toda a região de Gog, e para todo o interior a leste.

25And for Japheth came forth the third portion beyond the river Tina to the north of the outflow of its waters, and it extends north— easterly to the whole region of Gog, and to all the country east thereof.

26E se estende a norte até o norte, e se estende para as montanhas de Qelt em direção ao norte, e em direção ao mar de Mauk, e vai para o leste de Gadir tão longe quanto as regiões das águas do mar.

26And it extends northerly to the north, and it extends to the mountains of Qelt towards the north, and towards the sea of Ma'uk, and it goes forth to the east of Gadir as far as the region of the waters of the sea.

27E se estende até se aproximar do oeste de Fara e retorna em direção a Aferag, e se estende a leste para as águas do mar Meat.

27And it extends until it approaches the west of Fara and it returns towards 'Aferag, and it extends easterly to the waters of the sea of Me'at.

28E se estende para a região do rio Tina na direção nordeste até se aproximar da fronteira de suas águas em direção ao monte Rafa, e vira para o norte em direção norte.

28And it extends to the region of the river Tina in a north-easterly direction until it approaches the boundary of its waters towards the mountain Rafa, and it turns round towards the north.

29Esta é a terra que foi sorteada para Jafet e seus filhos como a porção de sua herança a qual ele deve possuir para si e seus filhos, por suas gerações para sempre; cinco grandes ilhas e uma grande terra ao norte.

29This is the land which came forth for Japheth and his sons as the portion of his inheritance which he should possess for himself and his sons, for their generations for ever; five great islands, and a great land in the north.

30Mas é frio, e a terra de Ham é quente, e a terra de Shem não é nem quente nem fria, mas é de um frio e calor equilibrados.

30But it is cold, and the land of Ham is hot, and the land of Shem is neither hot nor cold, but it is of blended cold and heat.
