Aos Laodicenses 1

1Paulo, apóstolo não da parte de homens, nem por intermédio de homem algum, mas por Jesus Cristo, aos irmãos que estão em Laodiceia:

1Paul, an apostle not of men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ, unto the brethren that are at Laodicea.

2Graça a vós e paz da parte de Deus Pai e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.

2Grace be unto you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3Dou graças a Cristo em todas as minhas orações, porque permaneceis nele e perseverais em suas obras, aguardando a promessa no dia do juízo.

3I give thanks unto Christ in all my prayers, that ye continue in him and persevere in his works, looking for the promise at the day of judgement.

4Nem vos perturbem as vãs conversas de alguns que se introduzem furtivamente, para vos desviar da verdade do Evangelho que por mim é pregado.

4Neither do the vain talkings of some overset you, which creep in, that they may turn you away from the truth of the Gospel which is preached by me.

5E agora fará Deus com que aqueles que são da minha parte continuem a ministrar para o aumento da verdade do Evangelho, operando a beneficência e a obra da salvação, sim, a vida eterna.

5And now shall God cause that they that are of me shall continue ministering unto the increase of the truth of the Gospel and accomplishing goodness, and the work of salvation, even eternal life.

6E agora são manifestas a todos os homens as minhas prisões, que sofro em Cristo, nas quais me regozijo e me alegro.

6And now are my bonds seen of all men, which I suffer in Christ, wherein I rejoice and am glad.

7E isto me resultará em salvação eterna, o que também se operará pelas vossas orações e pelo ministério do Espírito Santo, quer pela vida, quer pela morte.

7And unto me this is for everlasting salvation, which also is brought about by your prayers, and the ministry of the Holy Ghost, whether by life or by death.

8Porque verdadeiramente para mim o viver é Cristo, e o morrer é júbilo.

8For verily to me life is in Christ, and to die is joy.

9E ele operará em vós a sua misericórdia, para que tenhais o mesmo amor e sejais unânimes.

9And unto him shall he work his mercy in you that ye may have the same love, and be of one mind.

10Portanto, amados meus, assim como ouvistes na minha presença, retende firmemente e operai no temor de Deus, e isso vos será para a vida eterna.

10Therefore, dearly beloved, as ye have heard in my presence so hold fast and work in the fear of God, and it shall be unto you for life eternal.

11Porque Deus é o que opera em vós.

11For it is God that worketh in you.

12E fazei sem hesitação alguma tudo o que fizerdes.

12And do ye without afterthought whatsoever ye do.

13Quanto ao mais, amados meus, regozijai-vos em Cristo, e guardai-vos daqueles que buscam torpe ganância.

13And for the rest, dearly beloved, rejoice in Christ, and beware of them that are filthy in lucre.

14Sejam as vossas petições manifestas diante de Deus, e sede constantes no sentimento de Cristo.

14Let all your petitions be made openly before God, and be ye steadfast in the mind of Christ.

15E tudo o que é são, verdadeiro, sóbrio, justo e amável, isso praticai.

15And what things are sound and true and sober and just and to be loved, do ye.

16E o que ouvistes e recebestes, guardai firmemente em vosso coração.

16And what ye have heard and received, keep fast in your heart.

17E a paz será convosco.

17And peace shall be unto you.

18Os santos vos saúdam.

18The saints salute you.

19A graça do Senhor Jesus seja com o vosso espírito.

19The grace of the Lord Jesus be with your spirit.

20E fazei com que esta epístola seja lida aos de Colossos, e que a epístola dos colossenses seja lida entre vós.

20And cause this epistle to be read unto them of Colossae, and the epistle of the Colossians to be read unto you.
