Marcos 12

1Então Jesus começou a lhes dizer por parábolas: Um homem plantou uma vinha, cercou-a, fundou nela uma prensa de uvas, edificou uma torre, e a arrendou a uns lavradores; e partiu-se daquela terra.

1And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

2E, quando chegou o tempo, mandou um servo aos lavradores, para que recebesse dos lavradores do fruto da vinha.

2And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

3Mas eles, tomando-o à força, feriram-no, e mandaram-no vazio.

3And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

4E voltou a lhes mandar outro servo; e eles, apedrejando-o, feriram-no na cabeça e voltaram a mandá-lo maltratado.

4And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

5E voltou a mandar outro, ao qual mataram, e mandou muitos outros, e a uns feriram, e a outros mataram.

5And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

6Tendo ele, pois, ainda um, o seu filho amado, mandou-lhes também por último a este, dizendo: Pelo menos respeitarão o meu filho.

6Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

7Mas aqueles lavradores disseram entre si: Este é o herdeiro; vinde, e o matemos; então a herança será nossa.

7But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

8E pegando dele, mataram -no, e lançaram -no fora da vinha.

8And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

9Que, pois, o senhor da vinha fará? Ele virá, destruirá aos lavradores, e dará a vinha a outros.

9What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

10Acaso ainda não lestes esta escritura: “A pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram, esta foi feita por cabeça de esquina.

10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

11Pelo Senhor foi feito isto, e é maravilhoso em nossos olhos”?

11This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

12E buscavam prendê-lo, mas temiam a multidão; porque entendiam que era contra eles que dizia aquela parábola; então o deixaram e se retiraram.

12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

13E mandaram-lhe alguns dos fariseus e dos herodianos, para que o apanhassem em alguma palavra.

13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.

14Eles se aproximaram e lhe disseram: Mestre, sabemos que és homem de verdade, e não te interessa agradar a ninguém, porque não te importas com a aparência humana, mas com verdade ensinas o caminho de Deus. É lícito pagar tributo a César, ou não? Devemos pagar, ou não devemos?

14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

15E ele, entendendo a hipocrisia deles, disse-lhes: Por que estais me tentando? Trazei-me uma moeda, para que eu a veja.

15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.

16E trouxeram. E perguntou-lhes: De quem é esta imagem, e a inscrição? E eles lhe disseram: De César.

16And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.

17Então Jesus, lhes respondeu: Dai, pois, a César o que é de César, e a Deus o que é de Deus. E admiram-se dele.

17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

18E vieram a ele os saduceus, que dizem não haver ressurreição, e perguntaram-lhe:

18Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

19Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu que, se o irmão de alguém morresse, e deixasse mulher, mas não filhos, que seu irmão se casasse com a viúva, e gerasse descendência ao seu irmão.

19Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20Houve, pois, sete irmãos, e o primeiro casou-se com a mulher, e morrendo, não deixou descendente.

20Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21Casou-se com ela também o segundo, e morreu; e nem este deixou descendente; e o terceiro da mesma maneira.

21And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22Os sete casaram-se com ela, mas não deixaram descendente. Finalmente, depois de todos, morreu também a mulher.

22And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23Na ressurreição, pois, quando ressuscitarem, ela será a mulher de qual deles? Porque os sete a tiveram por mulher.

23In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24E Jesus lhes respondeu: Acaso não é por isso que errais, por não conhecerdes as Escrituras, nem o poder de Deus?

24And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25Pois, quando ressuscitarem dos mortos, nem se casarão, nem se darão em casamento; mas serão como os anjos que estão nos céus.

25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26E quanto aos mortos que ressuscitarão, não lestes no livro de Moisés, como Deus lhe falou com a sarça, dizendo: Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó?

26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27Deus não é Deus de mortos, mas de vivos. Portanto errais muito.

27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

28Então aproximou-se dele um dos escribas, que os havia ouvido discutir. Como ele sabia que Jesus havia lhes respondido bem, perguntou-lhe: Qual é o primeiro mandamento de todos?

28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29E Jesus lhe respondeu: O primeiro de todos os mandamentos é: “Ouve Israel, o Senhor nosso Deus é o único Senhor;

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30amarás, pois, ao Senhor teu Deus com todo o teu coração, com toda a tua alma, com todo o teu entendimento, e com todas as tuas forças.” Este é o primeiro mandamento.

30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31E o segundo é semelhante: “Amarás ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo”. Não há outro mandamento maior que estes.

31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32E o escriba lhe disse: Muito bem, Mestre, com verdade disseste que há um só Deus, e não há outro além dele.

32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

33E que amá-lo com todo o coração, com todo o entendimento, com toda a alma, e com todas as forças; e amar ao próximo como a si mesmo, é mais de que todos os holocaustos e sacrifícios.

33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

34Jesus viu que ele havia respondido sabiamente, e disse-lhe: Não estás longe do Reino de Deus. E ninguém mais ousou lhe perguntar.

34And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

35E Jesus respondia e dizia, enquanto ensinava no templo: Como os escribas dizem que o Cristo é filho de Davi?

35And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?

36Porque o mesmo Davi disse pelo Espírito Santo: Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor, senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos debaixo dos teus pés.

36For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

37Ora, se o próprio Davi o chama de Senhor, como, pois, é so eu filho? E a grande multidão o ouvia de boa vontade.

37David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

38E dizia-lhes em seu ensino: Cuidado com os escribas, que gostam de andar com roupas compridas, das saudações nas praças,

38And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

39das primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas, e dos primeiros assentos nas ceias.

39And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:

40que devoram as casas das viúvas, com pretexto de longas orações. Esses receberão mais grave condenação.

40Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

41Quando Jesus estava sentado de frente à arca do tesouro, observava como a multidão lançava dinheiro na arca do tesouro; e muitos ricos lançavam muito.

41And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

42E uma pobre viúva veio, e lançou duas pequenas moedas, de pouco valor.

42And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

43Então Jesus chamou a si os seus discípulos, e disse-lhes: Em verdade vos digo que esta pobre viúva lançou mais que todos os que lançaram na arca do tesouro;

43And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

44Porque todos lançaram daquilo que lhes sobra; mas esta, da sua pobreza lançou tudo o que tinha, todo o seu sustento.

44For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
