Mateus 27

1Vinda a manhã, todos os chefes dos sacerdotes e anciãos do povo juntamente se aconselharam contra Jesus, para o matarem.

1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

2E o levaram amarrado, e o entregaram a Pôncio Pilatos, o governador.

2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

3Então Judas, o que o havia traído, ao ver que Jesus já estava condenado, devolveu, sentindo remorso, as trinta moedas de prata aos chefes dos sacerdotes e aos anciãos;

3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

4e disse: Pequei, traindo sangue inocente. Porém eles disseram: Que nos interessa? Isso é problema teu!

4Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

5Então ele lançou as moedas de prata no templo, saiu, e foi enforcar-se.

5And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

6Os chefes dos sacerdotes tomaram as moedas de prata, e disseram: Não é lícito pô-las no tesouro das ofertas, pois isto é preço de sangue.

6And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

7Então juntamente se aconselharam, e compraram com elas o campo do oleiro, para ser cemitério dos estrangeiros.

7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

8Por isso aquele campo tem sido chamado campo de sangue até hoje.

8Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

9Assim se cumpriu o que foi dito pelo profeta Jeremias, que disse: Tomaram as trinta moedas de prata, preço avaliado pelos filhos de Israel, o qual eles avaliaram;

9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

10e as deram pelo campo do oleiro, conforme o que o Senhor me mandou.

10And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

11Jesus esteve diante do governador, e o governador lhe perguntou: És tu o Rei dos Judeus? E Jesus lhe respondeu: Tu o dizes.

11And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

12E, sendo ele foi acusado pelos chefes dos sacerdotes e pelos anciãos, nada respondeu.

12And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

13Pilatos, então, lhe disse: Não ouves quantas coisas estão testemunhando contra ti?

13Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14Mas Jesus não lhe respondeu uma só palavra, de maneira que o governador ficou muito maravilhado.

14And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

15Na festa o governador costuma soltar um preso ao povo, qualquer um que quisessem.

15Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16E tinham então um preso bem conhecido, chamado Barrabás.

16And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17Quando, pois, se ajuntaram, Pilatos lhes perguntou: Qual quereis que vos solte? Barrabás, ou Jesus, que é chamado Cristo?

17Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18Pois ele sabia que foi por inveja que o entregaram.

18For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19E, enquanto ele estava sentado no assento de juiz, sua mulher lhe enviou a seguinte mensagem: Nada faças com aquele justo, pois hoje sofri muito em sonhos por causa dele.

19When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20Mas os chefes dos sacerdotes e os anciãos persuadiram as multidões a pedirem Barrabás, e a exigirem a morte de Jesus.

20But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21O governador lhes perguntou: Qual destes dois quereis que vos solte? E responderam: Barrabás!

21The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22Pilatos lhes disse: Que, pois, farei de Jesus, que é chamado Cristo? Todos lhe disseram: Seja crucificado!

22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

23E o governador perguntou: Ora, que mal ele fez? Porém gritavam mais: Seja crucificado!

23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24Quando, pois, Pilatos viu que nada adiantava, em vez disso se fazia mais tumulto, ele pegou água, lavou as mãos diante da multidão, e disse: Estou inocente do sangue deste justo. A responsabilidade é vossa.

24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25E todo o povo respondeu: O sangue dele venha sobre nós, e sobre os nossos filhos.

25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26Então soltou-lhes Barrabás, enquanto que mandou açoitar Jesus, e o entregou para ser crucificado.

26Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

27Em seguida, os soldados do governador levaram Jesus consigo ao pretório, ajuntaram-se a ele toda a unidade miltar.

27Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28Eles o despiram e o cobriram com um manto vermelho.

28And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29E, depois de tecerem uma coroa de espinhos, puseram-na sobre a sua cabeça, e uma cana em sua mão direita. Em seguida, puseram-se de joelhos diante dele, zombando-o, e diziam: Felicitações, Rei dos Judeus!

29And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30E cuspiram nele, tomaram a cana, e deram-lhe golpes na cabeça.

30And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

31Depois de terem o zombado, despiram-lhe a capa, vestiram-no com suas roupas, e o levaram para crucificar.

31And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

32Ao saírem, encontraram um homem de Cirene, por nome Simão; e obrigaram-no a levar sua cruz.

32And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

33E quando chegaram ao lugar chamado Gólgota, que significa “o lugar da caveira”,

33And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

34deram-lhe de beber vinagre misturado com fel. E, depois de provar, não quis beber.

34They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

35E havendo-o crucificado, repartiram suas roupas, lançando sortes; para que se cumprisse o que foi dito pelo profeta: Repartiram entre si minhas roupas, e sobre minha túnica lançaram sortes.

35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

36Então se sentaram, e ali o vigiavam.

36And sitting down they watched him there;

37E puseram, por cima de sua cabeça, sua acusação escrita: ESTE É JESUS, O REI DOS JUDEUS.

37And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

38Então foram crucificados com ele dois criminosos, um à direita, e outro à esquerda.

38Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

39Os que passavam blasfemavam dele, balançando suas cabeças,

39And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

40e dizendo: Tu, que derrubas o Templo, e em três dias o reconstróis, salva a ti mesmo! Se és Filho de Deus, desce da cruz.

40And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

41E da mesma maneira também os chefes dos sacerdotes, com os escribas e os anciãos, escarnecendo dele, diziam:

41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

42Salvou outros, a si mesmo não pode salvar. Se é Rei de Israel, desça agora da cruz, e creremos nele.

42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

43Confiou em Deus, livre-o agora, se lhe quer bem; pois disse: “Sou Filho de Deus”.

43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

44E os ladrões que estavam crucificados com ele também lhe insultavam.

44The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

45Desde a hora sexta houve trevas sobre toda a terra até a hora nona.

45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46E perto da hora nona, Jesus gritou em alta voz: Eli, Eli, lamá sabactâni?, Isto é: Deus meu, Deus meu, porque me desamparaste?

46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47E alguns dos que ali estavam, quando ouviram, disseram: Ele está chamando Elias.

47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48Logo um deles correu e tomou uma esponja. Então a encheu de vinagre, colocou-a em uma cana, e lhe dava de beber.

48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49Porém os outros disseram: Deixa, vejamos se Elias vem livrá-lo.

49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50Jesus gritou outra vez em alta voz, e entregou o espírito.

50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51E eis que o véu do Templo se rasgou em dois, de cima até embaixo, a terra tremeu, e as pedras se fenderam.

51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52Os sepulcros se abriram, e muitos corpos de santos que tinham morrido foram ressuscitados.

52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53E, depois de ressuscitarem, saíram dos sepulcros, vieram à santa cidade, e apareceram a muitos.

53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54E o centurião, e os que com ele vigiavam Jesus, ao verem o terremoto e as coisas que haviam sucedido, tiveram muito medo, e disseram: Verdadeiramente ele era Filho de Deus.

54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

55Muitas mulheres, que desde a Galileia haviam seguido Jesus, e o serviam, estavam ali, olhando de longe.

55And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

56Entre elas estavam Maria Madalena, e Maria mãe de Tiago e de José, e a mãe dos filhos de Zebedeu.

56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

57E chegado o entardecer, veio um homem rico de Arimateia, por nome José, que também era discípulo de Jesus.

57When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

58Ele chegou a Pilatos, e pediu o corpo de Jesus. Então Pilatos mandou que o corpo lhe fosse entregue.

58He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

59José tomou o corpo, e o envolveu em um lençol limpo, de linho fino,

59And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

60e o pôs em seu sepulcro novo, que tinha escavado numa rocha; em seguida rolou uma grande pedra à porta do sepulcro, e foi embora.

60And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

61E ali estavam Maria Madalena e a outra Maria, sentadas de frente ao sepulcro.

61And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

62No dia seguinte, que é o depois da preparação, os chefes dos sacerdotes, e os fariseus se reuniram com Pilatos,

62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

63e disseram: Senhor, nos lembramos que aquele enganador, enquanto ainda vivia, disse: “Depois de três dias serei ressuscitado”.

63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

64Portanto, manda que o sepulcro esteja em segurança até o terceiro dia, para que não aconteça dos seus discípulos virem de noite, e o furtem, e digam ao povo que ele ressuscitou dos mortos; e assim o último engano será pior que o primeiro.

64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65Pilatos lhes disse: Vós tendes uma guarda. Ide fazer segurança como o entendeis.

65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

66E eles se foram, e fizeram segurança no sepulcro com a guarda, selando a pedra.

66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
