Odes de Salomão 25

1Fui resgatado das minhas cadeias; E a ti, meu Deus, fugi.

1I was rescued from my bonds; And unto thee, my God, I fled.

2Pois tu foste a mão direita da minha salvação, E o meu auxiliador.

2For thou wast the right hand of my salvation, And my helper.

3Refreaste os que se levantavam contra mim, E não foram mais vistos:

3Thou hast restrained them that rise up against me, And they were seen no more:

4Porque o teu rosto estava comigo, Que me salvou pela tua graça.

4Because thy face was with me, Which saved me by thy grace.

5Mas fui desprezado e rejeitado aos olhos de muitos: E era aos seus olhos como chumbo;

5But I was despised and rejected in the eyes of many: And I was in their eyes like lead;

6E adquiri força de ti mesmo, E auxílio.

6And I acquired strength from thyself, And help.

7Puseste-me uma lâmpada à minha direita e à minha esquerda, Para que em mim não haja nada que não seja brilhante;

7Thou didst set me a lamp at my right hand and at my left, That in me there may be nothing that is not bright;

8E fui coberto com a cobertura do teu espírito; E tirei de mim a veste de peles.

8And I was covered with the covering of thy spirit; And I removed from me the raiment of skins.

9Pois a tua mão direita me levantou, E tirou de mim a doença.

9For thy right hand lifted me up, And removed sickness from me.

10E tornei-me poderoso na tua verdade, E santo pela tua justiça;

10And I became mighty in thy truth, And holy by thy righteousness;

11E todos os meus adversários tiveram medo de mim: E tornei-me do Senhor pelo nome do Senhor:

11And all my adversaries were afraid of me: And I became the Lord's by the name of the Lord:

12E fui justificado pela sua brandura, E o seu repouso é para sempre e sempre. Aleluia.

12And I was justified by His gentleness, And His rest is for ever and ever. Hallelujah.
