Odes de Salomão 29

1O Senhor é a minha esperança: Nele não serei confundido.

1The Lord is my hope: In Him I shall not be confounded.

2Pois segundo o seu louvor me fez, E segundo a sua bondade assim me deu.

2For according to His praise He made me, And according to His goodness even so He gave unto me.

3E segundo as suas misericórdias me exaltou; E segundo a sua excelente beleza me pôs no alto.

3And according to His mercies He exalted me; And according to His excellent beauty He set me on high.

4E fez-me subir das profundezas do Xeol; E da boca da morte me arrancou.

4And He brought me up out of the depths of Sheol; And from the mouth of death He drew me.

5E abati os meus inimigos; E ele me justificou pela sua graça.

5And I laid my enemies low; And He justified me by His grace.

6Pois cri no Messias do Senhor; E ele me apareceu, mostrando que é o Senhor.

6For I believed in the Lord's Messiah; And He appeared to me that He is the Lord.

7E mostrou-me o seu sinal, E guiou-me pela sua luz;

7And He showed me His sign, And led me by His light;

8E deu-me a vara do seu poder; Para que eu subjugasse as imaginações do povo: E abatesse o poder dos homens poderosos.

8And He gave me the rod of His power; That I might subdue the imaginations of the people: And to bring down the power of the men of might.

9Para fazer guerra pela sua Palavra; E alcançar vitória pelo seu poder.

9To make war by His Word; And to take victory by His power.

10E o Senhor derrubou o meu inimigo pela sua Palavra; E ele ficou como a palha que o vento leva.

10And the Lord overthrew my enemy by His Word; And he became like the stubble which the wind carries away.

11E dei louvor ao Altíssimo; Porque exaltou o seu servo e o filho da sua serva. Aleluia.

11And I gave praise to the Most High; Because He exalted His servant and the Son of His handmaid. Hallelujah.
