Odes de Salomão 3

Português e inglês lado a lado

1Eu visto (a eles) com:

1I clothe (them) with:

2E (os seus) membros estão com ele, E deles eu me penduro; e ele me ama.

2And (His) members are with Him, And on them do I hang; and He loves me.

3Pois eu não teria sabido amar o Senhor, Se ele não me tivesse amado.

3For I should not have known how to love the Lord, If He had not loved me.

4For who is able to distinguish love, Except one that is loved?

5Amo o Amado, e a minha alma o ama.

5I love the Beloved, and my soul loves Him. And where His rest is, there also am I.

6And I shall be no stranger (there); For with the Lord Most High and Merciful, there is no grudging.

7Fui unido (a ele), pois o amante encontrou o Amado: Para que eu ame aquele que é o Filho, tornar-me-ei filho.

7I have been united (to Him), for the lover has found the Beloved: In order that I may love Him that is the Son, I shall become a son.

8For he that is joined to Him that is immortal, Will himself also become immortal.

9And He that hath pleasure in the Living One, Will become living.

10This is the Spirit of the Lord, which doth not lie, Which teacheth the sons of men to know His ways.

11Sede sábios, e inteligentes, e vigilantes. Aleluia.

11Be wise and understanding and vigilant. Hallelujah.
