Odes de Salomão 39

1Rios poderosos são o poder do Senhor; Que arrastam de cabeça Os que o desprezam:

1Mighty rivers are the power of the Lord; Which carry headlong Those that despise Him:

2E emaranham os seus caminhos, E levam embora os seus vaus:

2And entangle their paths, And sweep away their fords:

3E carregam os seus corpos E destroem as suas almas.

3And carry off their bodies And destroy their souls.

4Pois são mais velozes que o relâmpago, E mais rápidos:

4For they are more swift than lightning, And more rapid:

5Mas os que os atravessam com fé Não serão abalados;

5But those who cross them in faith Shall not be moved;

6E os que andam sobre eles sem mancha Não terão medo.

6And those who walk on them without blemish Shall not be afraid.

7Pois o sinal neles é o Senhor; E o sinal torna-se o caminho dos que atravessam em nome do Senhor.

7For the sign in them is the Lord; And the sign becomes the way of those who cross in the name of the Lord.

8Revesti-vos, pois, do nome do Altíssimo e conhecei-o: E atravessareis sem perigo, Enquanto os rios vos estarão sujeitos.

8Put on, therefore, the name of the Most High and know Him: And you shall cross without danger, While the rivers shall be subject to you.

9O Senhor lançou pontes sobre eles com a sua palavra; E ele andou e os atravessou a pé;

9The Lord has bridged them by His word; And He walked and crossed them on foot;

10E os seus passos permanecem (firmes) sobre as águas e não foram apagados; São como uma viga firmemente fixada.

10And His footsteps stand (firm) on the waters, and were not erased; They are as a beam that is firmly fixed.

11E as ondas se levantaram de um lado e do outro; E os passos do nosso Senhor Messias permanecem (firmes), E não são apagados, E não são desfigurados.

11And the waves were lifted up on this side and on that; And the footsteps of our Lord Messiah stand (firm), And are not obliterated, And are not defaced.

12E foi designado um caminho para os que atravessam depois dele, E para os que concordam com o curso da sua fé; E que adoram o seu nome, Aleluia.

12And a way has been appointed for those who cross after Him, And for those who agree to the course of His faith; And who adore His name, Hallelujah.
