Odes de Salomão 4

1Nenhum homem, ó meu Deus, muda o teu lugar santo; Nem é (alguém capaz) de mudá-lo e pô-lo em outro lugar.

1No man, O my God, changeth thy holy place; Nor is (one able) to change it, and put it in another place.

2Porque não tem poder sobre ele; Pois o teu santuário tu o projetaste antes de fazeres os lugares:

2Because he hath no power over it; For thy sanctuary Thou designedst before thou didst make places:

3O que é mais antigo não será mudado pelos que são mais jovens que ele mesmo: Deste o teu coração, ó Senhor, aos teus crentes, Tu nunca falharás, Nem ficarás sem frutos:

3That which is the elder shall not be changed by those that are younger than itself: Thou hast given thy heart, O Lord, to thy believers, Thou wilt never fail, Nor wilt Thou be without fruits:

4Pois uma hora da tua Fé É mais preciosa que todos os dias e anos.

4For one hour of thy Faith Is more precious than all days and years.

5Pois quem é que se revestirá da tua graça e será ferido?

5For who is there that shall put on thy grace, and be injured?

6Pois o teu selo é conhecido: E as tuas criaturas são conhecidas por ele.

6For thy seal is known: And thy creatures are known to it.

7E as hostes o possuem: E os arcanjos eleitos estão revestidos dele.

7And the hosts possess it: And the elect archangels are clad with it.

8Deste-nos a tua comunhão: Não foi que tivesses necessidade de nós; Mas que nós temos necessidade de ti.

8Thou hast given us thy fellowship: It was not that thou wast in need of us; But that we are in need of thee.

9Destila os teus orvalhos sobre nós; E abre as tuas ricas fontes que derramam sobre nós leite e mel.

9Distil thy dews upon us; And open thy rich fountains that pour forth to us milk and honey.

10Pois não há arrependimento em ti: Que te arrependesses de algo que prometeste.

10For there is no repentance with thee: That thou shouldest repent of anything that thou hast promised.

11E o fim foi conhecido por ti: Pois o que deste, deste de graça:

11And the end was known to thee: For what thou gavest, thou gavest freely:

12Para que não os retires nem os tomes de novo.

12So that thou mayest not draw back and take them again.

13Pois tudo foi conhecido por ti como Deus; E posto em ordem desde o princípio diante de ti:

13For all was known to thee as God; And set in order from the beginning before thee:

14E tu, ó Senhor, fizeste todas as coisas. Aleluia.

14And thou, O Lord, hast made all things. Hallelujah.
