Odes de Salomão 7

1Como é o movimento da ira sobre o mal, Assim é o movimento da alegria sobre o Amado, E traz consigo os seus frutos sem restrição.

1As is the motion of anger over evil, So is the motion of joy over the Beloved, And brings in of its fruits without restraint.

2A minha alegria é o Senhor, e o meu movimento é em direção a ele: Este meu caminho é excelente.

2My joy is the Lord, and my motion is towards Him: This path of mine is excellent.

3Pois tenho um Auxiliador, no Senhor. Mostrou-se a mim sem mesquinhez na sua simplicidade; Porque a sua bondade diminuiu a sua grandeza.

3For I have a Helper, to the Lord. He hath shown Himself to me without grudging in His simplicity; Because His kindness has minished His greatness.

4Tornou-se semelhante a mim para que eu o recebesse. Em semelhança foi contado como eu, para que eu o vestisse, E não tremi quando o vi; Porque foi benigno para comigo.

4He became like me that I might receive Him. In similitude was He reckoned like me, that I might put Him on, And I trembled not when I saw Him; Because He was gracious to me.

5Como a minha natureza ele se tornou, para que eu o conhecesse, E como a minha forma, para que eu não me afastasse dele.

5Like my nature He became, that I might learn Him, And like my form, that I might not turn back from Him.

6O Pai do Conhecimento É a Palavra do Conhecimento:

6The Father of Knowledge Is the Word of Knowledge:

7Aquele que criou a Sabedoria É mais sábio que as suas obras:

7He who created Wisdom Is wiser than His works:

8E aquele que me criou quando eu ainda não existia Sabia o que eu haveria de fazer quando viesse a existir:

8And He who created me when yet I was not Knew what I should do when I came into being:

9Por isso teve piedade de mim na sua abundante graça E concedeu-me pedir-lhe e receber do seu sacrifício;

9Wherefore He pitied me in His abundant grace And granted me to ask from Him and to receive from His sacrifice;

10Pois ele é o incorruptível; A perfeição dos mundos e o Pai deles.

10For He it is that is incorrupt; The perfection of the worlds and the Father of them.

11Concedeu-lhe aparecer aos que são seus; Para que reconheçam aquele que os fez; E para que não pensem que vieram de si mesmos, Pois foi ao Conhecimento que ele designou o seu caminho; Alargou-o e estendeu-o e levou-o a toda a perfeição.

11He hath given Him to appear to them that are His; That they may recognize Him that made them; And that they might not suppose that they came of themselves, For it is to Knowledge He hath appointed His way; He hath widened it and extended it and brought it to all perfection.

12E pôs sobre ele os vestígios da sua luz; E ele avançou por ele desde o princípio até o fim.

12And He set over it the traces of His light; And it proceeded therein even from the beginning to the end.

13Pois por ele foi servido, E agradou-se do Filho;

13For by Him He was served, And He was pleased with the Son;

14E por causa da sua salvação tomará posse de tudo; E o Altíssimo será conhecido nos seus santos:

14And because of His salvation He will take possession of everything; And the Most High shall be known in His saints:

15Para anunciar aos que têm cânticos a vinda do Senhor Para que saiam ao seu encontro e lhe cantem, Com alegria e com a harpa de muitos tons.

15To announce to those that have songs of the coming of the Lord That they may go forth to meet Him and may sing to Him, With joy and with the harp of many tones.

16Os Videntes irão diante dele, E serão vistos diante dele;

16The Seers shall go before Him, And they shall be seen before Him;

17E louvarão o Senhor no seu amor; Porque ele está perto e vê;

17And they shall praise the Lord in His love; Because He is near and seeth;

18E o ódio será tirado da terra; E junto com o ciúme será afogado:

18And hatred shall be taken from the earth; And along with jealousy it shall be drowned:

19Pois a ignorância foi destruída; Porque o conhecimento do Senhor chegou.

19For ignorance hath been destroyed; Because the knowledge of the Lord hath arrived.

20Cantem os Cantores a graça do Senhor Altíssimo; E tragam os seus cânticos;

20Let the Singers sing the grace of the Lord Most High; And let them bring their songs;

21E seja o seu coração como o dia, E como a excelente beleza do Senhor as suas harmonias; E não haja nada sem vida, Nem sem conhecimento, nem mudo.

21And let their heart be like the day, And like the excellent beauty of the Lord, their harmonies; And let there be nothing without life, Nor without knowledge, nor dumb.

22Pois (o Senhor) deu boca à sua criação, Para abrir a voz da boca para ele; e para louvá-lo;

22For (the Lord) hath given a mouth to His creation, To open the voice of the mouth towards Him; and to praise Him;

23Confessai o seu poder; E manifestai a sua graça. Aleluia.

23Confess ye His power; And show forth His grace. Hallelujah.
