Pastor de Hermas 70

1E depois de poucos dias chegamos ao lugar, e o Pastor sentou-se no lugar do anjo, e eu fiquei de pé ao seu lado. E me disse: “Cinge-te com linho puro, cru, feito de saco;” e, vendo-me cingido e pronto a servi-lo, “Convoca,” disse, “os homens a quem pertencem os ramos que foram plantados, segundo a ordem em que cada um os entregou.” Fui, então, à planície e convoquei-os a todos, e todos ficaram nas suas fileiras.

1And after a few days we came to the place, and the Shepherd sat down in the angel’s place, and I stood beside him. And he said to me, “Gird yourself with pure, undressed linen made of sackcloth;” and seeing me girded, and ready to minister to him, “Summon,” he said, “the men to whom belong the branches that were planted, according to the order in which each one gave them in.” So I went away to the plain, and summoned them all, and they all stood in their ranks.

2Disse-lhes: “Que cada um arranque o seu próprio ramo e o traga a mim.” Os primeiros a entregá-los foram os que os tinham secos e cortados; e porque foram achados assim secos e cortados, ordenou-lhes que ficassem à parte. E em seguida os entregaram os que os tinham secos, mas não cortados. E alguns deles entregaram os seus ramos verdes, e alguns secos e comidos como por traça.

2He said to them, “Let each one pull out his own branch, and bring it to me.” The first to give in were those who had them withered and cut; and because they were found to be thus withered and cut, he commanded them to stand apart. And next they gave them in who had them withered, but not cut. And some of them gave in their branches green, and some withered and eaten as by a moth.

3Os que os entregaram verdes, portanto, ordenou que ficassem à parte; e os que os entregaram secos e cortados, ordenou que ficassem juntamente com os primeiros. Em seguida os entregaram os que os tinham meio secos e rachados; e muitos deles os entregaram verdes e sem rachaduras; e alguns verdes e com rebentos, e frutos nos rebentos, tais como tinham os que foram, depois de coroados, para a torre.

3Those that gave them in green, accordingly, he ordered to stand apart; and those who gave them in dry and cut, he ordered to stand along with the first. Next they gave them in who had them half-withered and cracked; and many of them gave them in green and without cracks; and some green and with offshoots, and fruits upon the offshoots, such as they had who went, after being crowned, into the tower.

4E alguns os entregaram secos e comidos, e alguns secos e não comidos; e alguns como estavam, meio secos e rachados. E mandou-os que cada um ficasse à parte, uns para as suas próprias fileiras, e outros afastados deles.

4And some handed them in withered and eaten, and some withered and uneaten; and some as they were, half-withered and cracked. And he commanded them each one to stand apart, some towards their own rows, and others apart from them.
