Pistis Sophia 1

1Aconteceu que, tendo Jesus ressuscitado dentre os mortos, passou onze anos conversando com os seus discípulos e instruindo-os apenas até as regiões do Primeiro Mandamento e até as regiões do Primeiro Mistério, aquele que está dentro do Véu, dentro do Primeiro Mandamento, que é o vigésimo quarto mistério de fora e de baixo — aqueles vinte e quatro que estão no segundo espaço do Primeiro Mistério, o qual é antes de todos os mistérios, o Pai sob a forma de uma pomba.

1It came to pass, when Jesus had risen from the dead, that he passed eleven years discoursing with his disciples, and instructing them only up to the regions of the First Commandment and up to the regions of the First Mystery, that within the Veil, within the First Commandment, which is the four-and-twentieth mystery without and below--those [four-and-twenty] which are in the second space of the First Mystery which is before all mysteries,--the Father in the form of a dove.

2E disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: "Eu saí daquele Primeiro Mistério, que é o último mistério, a saber, o vigésimo quarto mistério." E os seus discípulos não sabiam nem entendiam que algo existisse dentro daquele mistério; mas pensavam acerca daquele mistério que ele fosse o ápice do universo e o ápice de toda a existência; e pensavam que fosse a consumação de todas as consumações, porque Jesus lhes dissera a respeito daquele mistério que ele cerca o Primeiro Mandamento, e as cinco Impressões, e a grande Luz, e os cinco Ajudadores, e todo o Tesouro da Luz.

2And Jesus said to his disciples: "I am come forth out of that First Mystery, which is the last mystery, that is the four-and-twentieth mystery." And his disciples have not known nor understood that anything existeth within that mystery; but they thought of that mystery, that it is the head of the universe and the head of all existence; and they thought it is the completion of all completions, because Jesus had said to them concerning that mystery, that it surroundeth the First Commandment and the five Impressions and the great Light and the five Helpers and the whole Treasury of the Light.

3E além disso Jesus não havia declarado aos seus discípulos a total expansão de todas as regiões do grande Invisível, e dos três poderes triplos, e dos vinte e quatro invisíveis, com todas as suas regiões, os seus éons e as suas ordens, como se acham estendidos — os quais são as emanações do grande Invisível —, nem acerca dos seus não-gerados, dos seus autogerados, dos seus gerados, dos seus dadores de luz, dos seus desemparelhados, dos seus governantes, das suas autoridades, dos seus senhores, dos seus arcanjos, dos seus anjos, dos seus decanos, dos seus servos e de todas as moradas das suas esferas, e de todas as ordens de cada um deles.

3And moreover Jesus had not told his disciples the total expansion of all the regions of the great Invisible and of the three triple-powers and of the four-and-twenty invisibles, and all their regions and their æons and their orders, how they are extended--those which are the emanations of the great Invisible--and their ungenerated and their self-generated and their generated and their light-givers and their unpaired and their rulers and their authorities and their lords and their archangels and their angels and their decans and their servitors and all the houses of their spheres and all the orders of every one of them.

4E Jesus não havia declarado aos seus discípulos a total expansão das emanações do Tesouro, nem as suas ordens, como se acham estendidas; nem lhes havia dito quais são os seus salvadores segundo a ordem de cada um; nem lhes dissera qual sentinela está em cada porta do Tesouro da Luz; nem lhes declarara a região do Salvador-Gêmeo, que é o Filho do Filho; nem lhes dissera as regiões dos três Améns, em quais regiões se acham expandidos; nem em que região estão expandidas as cinco Árvores; nem acerca dos sete Améns, isto é, as sete Vozes, qual é a sua região e como se acham expandidos.

4And Jesus had not told his disciples the total expansion of the emanations of the Treasury, nor their orders, how they are extended; nor had he told them their saviours, according to the order of every one, how they are; nor had he told them what guard is at every [gate] of the Treasury of the Light; nor had he told them the region of the Twin-saviour, who is the Child of the Child; nor had he told them the regions of the three Amēns, in what regions they are expanded; nor had he told them into what region the five Trees are expanded; nor as to the seven Amēns, that is the seven Voices, what is their region, how they are expanded.

5E Jesus não dissera aos seus discípulos de que tipo são os cinco Ajudadores, nem para qual região foram conduzidos; nem lhes declarara como a grande Luz se expandiu a si mesma, nem para que região foi trazida; nem lhes falara das cinco Impressões, nem do Primeiro Mandamento, para qual região foram conduzidos. Mas conversara com eles genericamente, ensinando que tais coisas existem, sem contudo lhes declarar a sua expansão e a ordem das suas regiões, como são. Por esta razão não sabiam que havia também outras regiões dentro daquele mistério.

5And Jesus had not told his disciples of what type are the five Helpers, nor into what region they are brought; nor had he told them how the great Light hath expanded itself, nor into what region it hath been brought; nor had he told them of the five Impressions, nor as to the First Commandment, into what region they have been brought. But he had discoursed with them generally, teaching that they exist, but he had not told them their expansion and the order of their regions, how they are. For this cause they have not known that there were also other regions within that mystery.

6E não dissera aos seus discípulos: "Saí de tais e tais regiões até entrar naquele mistério, e até sair dele"; mas, ao ensiná-los, dizia-lhes: "Vim daquele mistério." Por essa razão julgavam eles daquele mistério que fosse a consumação das consumações, e que fosse a cabeça do universo e a total Plenitude. Porque Jesus dissera aos seus discípulos: "Aquele mistério circunda este universo de que vos tenho falado desde o dia em que vos encontrei até o dia de hoje." Por este motivo pensavam os discípulos que nada existisse no interior daquele mistério.

6And he had not told his disciples: "I have gone forth out of such and such regions until I entered into that mystery, and until I went forth out of it"; but, in teaching them, he said to them: "I am come forth from that mystery." For this cause then they thought of that mystery, that it is the completion of completions, and that it is the head of the universe and that it is the total Fulness. For Jesus had said to his disciples: "That mystery surroundeth that universe of which I have spoken unto you from the day when I met with you even unto this day." For this cause then the disciples thought there is nothing within that mystery.
