Salmos 151-155 2

1Salmo 152. Dito por Davi quando lutava com o leão e o lobo que levaram uma ovelha do seu rebanho. Ó Deus, ó Deus, vem em meu socorro; ajuda-me e salva-me; livra a minha alma do matador.

1Psalm 152. Spoken by David when he was contending with the lion and the wolf which took a sheep from his flock. O God, O God, come to my aid; help Thou me and save me; deliver Thou my soul from the slayer.

2Descerei eu ao Seol pela boca do leão? Ou me confundirá o lobo?

2Shall I go down to Sheol by the mouth of the lion? or shall the wolf confound me?

3Não lhes bastava armar ciladas ao rebanho de meu pai e despedaçar uma ovelha do gado de meu pai, mas queriam também destruir a minha alma?

3Was it not enough for them that they lay in wait for my father's flock, and rent in pieces a sheep of my father's drove, but they were wishing also to destroy my soul?

4Tem piedade, ó Senhor, e salva o teu santo da destruição, para que ele conte as tuas glórias em todos os seus tempos e louve o teu grande nome,

4Have pity, O Lord, and save Thy holy one from destruction; that he may rehearse Thy glories in all his times, and may praise Thy great name:

5quando o tiveres livrado das mãos do leão destruidor e do lobo voraz, e quando tiveres resgatado o meu cativeiro das mãos das feras.

5when Thou hast delivered him from the hands of the destroying lion and of the ravening wolf, and when Thou hast rescued my captivity from the hands of the wild beasts.

6Depressa, ó meu Senhor, envia de diante de ti um libertador, e tira-me da cova escancarada, que me aprisiona nas suas profundezas.

6Quickly, O my Lord, send from before Thee a deliverer, and draw me out of the gaping pit, which imprisons me in its depths.
