Salmos de Salomão 10

1Feliz é o homem de quem o Senhor se lembra com repreensão, E a quem refreia do caminho do mal com golpes, Para que seja purificado do pecado, para que este não se multiplique.

1Happy is the man whom the Lord remembereth with reproving, And whom He restraineth from the way of evil with strokes, That he may be cleansed from sin, that it may not be multiplied.

2Aquele que oferece as suas costas aos golpes será purificado, Pois o Senhor é bom para os que suportam a correção.

2He that maketh ready his back for strokes shall be cleansed, For the Lord is good to them that endure chastening.

3Pois endireita os caminhos dos justos, E não os perverte (a eles) com a sua correção.

3For He maketh straight the ways of the righteous, And doth not pervert (them) by His chastening.

4E a misericórdia do Senhor (está) sobre os que o amam em verdade, E o Senhor se lembra dos seus servos em misericórdia.

4And the mercy of the Lord (is) upon them that love Him in truth, And the Lord remembereth His servants in mercy.

5Pois o testemunho (está) na lei da aliança eterna, O testemunho do Senhor (está) nos caminhos dos homens na (sua) visitação.

5For the testimony (is) in the law of the eternal covenant, The testimony of the Lord (is) on the ways of men in (His) visitation.

6Justo e bondoso é o nosso Senhor nos seus juízos para sempre, E Israel louvará o nome do Senhor com alegria.

6Just and kind is our Lord in His judgements for ever, And Israel shall praise the name of the Lord in gladness.

7E os piedosos darão graças na assembleia do povo; E dos pobres terá Deus misericórdia na alegria (?) de Israel;

7And the pious shall give thanks in the assembly of the people; And on the poor shall God have mercy in the gladness (?) of Israel;

8Pois bom e misericordioso é Deus para sempre, E as assembleias de Israel glorificarão o nome do Senhor. Esteja a salvação do Senhor sobre a casa de Israel para alegria eterna!

8For good and merciful is God for ever, And the assemblies of Israel shall glorify the name of the Lord. The salvation of the Lord be upon the house of Israel unto everlasting gladness!
