Salmos de Salomão 14

1Fiel é o Senhor para com os que o amam em verdade, Para com os que suportam a sua correção, Para com os que andam na justiça dos seus mandamentos, Na lei que ele nos ordenou para que vivêssemos.

1Faithful is the Lord to them that love Him in truth, To them that endure His chastening, To them that walk in the righteousness of His commandments, In the law which He commanded us that we might live.

2Os piedosos do Senhor viverão por ela para sempre; O Paraíso do Senhor, as árvores da vida, são os seus piedosos.

2The pious of the Lord shall live by it for ever; The Paradise of the Lord, the trees of life, are His pious ones.

3A sua plantação está enraizada para sempre; Não serão arrancados todos os dias do céu:

3Their planting is rooted for ever; They shall not be plucked up all the days of heaven:

4Pois a porção e a herança de Deus é Israel.

4For the portion and the inheritance of God is Israel.

5Mas não assim os pecadores e transgressores, Que amam o dia (breve) (passado) em companhia do seu pecado;

5But not so are the sinners and transgressors, Who love (the brief) day (spent) in companionship with their sin;

6O seu deleite está na corrupção passageira, E não se lembram de Deus.

6Their delight is in fleeting corruption, And they remember not God.

7Pois os caminhos dos homens são conhecidos diante dele em todo tempo, E ele conhece os segredos do coração antes que aconteçam.

7For the ways of men are known before Him at all times, And He knoweth the secrets of the heart before they come to pass.

8Por isso a sua herança é o Xeol e a escuridão e a destruição, E não serão achados no dia em que os justos obtiverem misericórdia;

8Therefore their inheritance is Sheol and darkness and destruction, And they shall not be found in the day when the righteous obtain mercy;

9Mas os piedosos do Senhor herdarão a vida com alegria.

9But the pious of the Lord shall inherit life in gladness.
