Salmos de Salomão 7

1Não faças a tua morada longe de nós, ó Deus; Para que não nos assaltem os que nos odeiam sem causa.

1Make not Thy dwelling afar from us, O God; Lest they assail us that hate us without cause.

2Pois tu os rejeitaste, ó Deus; Não pise o seu pé a tua santa herança.

2For Thou hast rejected them, O God; Let not their foot trample upon Thy holy inheritance.

3Castiga-nos tu mesmo segundo o teu bom prazer; Mas não nos entregues às nações;

3Chasten us Thyself in Thy good pleasure; But give (us) not up to the nations;

4Pois, se enviares pestilência, Tu mesmo lhe dás ordem a nosso respeito; Pois tu és misericordioso, E não te irarás até nos consumir.

4For, if Thou sendest pestilence, Thou Thyself givest it charge concerning us; For Thou art merciful, And wilt not be angry to the point of consuming us.

5Enquanto o teu nome habita no nosso meio, acharemos misericórdia;

5While Thy name dwelleth in our midst, we shall find mercy;

6E as nações não prevalecerão contra nós. Pois tu és o nosso escudo, E quando clamamos a ti, tu nos ouves;

6And the nations shall not prevail against us. For Thou art our shield, And when we call upon Thee, Thou hearkenest to us;

7Pois tu terás piedade da semente de Israel para sempre E não (os) rejeitarás: Mas nós (estaremos) sob o teu jugo para sempre, E (sob) a vara da tua correção.

7For Thou wilt pity the seed of Israel for ever And Thou wilt not reject (them): But we (shall be) under Thy yoke for ever, And (under) the rod of Thy chastening.

8Firmar-nos-ás no tempo em que nos ajudares, Mostrando misericórdia à casa de Jacó no dia em que prometeste (ajudá-los).

8Thou wilt establish us in the time that Thou helpest us, Showing mercy to the house of Jacob on the day wherein Thou didst promise (to help them).
