Salmos 17

1Oração de Davi: Ouve, SENHOR, a minha justiça; presta atenção ao meu choro, dá ouvidos à minha oração de lábios que não enganam.

1A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

2De diante de teu rosto saia o meu julgamento; teus olhos observarão o que é justo.

2Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.

3Tu já provaste o meu coração, tu me visitaste de noite; tu me investigaste, e nada achaste; decidi que minha boca não transgredirá.

3Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

4Quanto às obras dos homens, conforme a palavra de teus lábios eu me guardei dos caminhos do violento;

4Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.

5Guiando meu andar em teus caminhos, para que meus passos não tropecem.

5Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

6Eu clamo a ti, ó Deus, porque tu me respondes; inclina teus ouvidos a mim, escuta a minha palavra.

6I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

7Revela maravilhosamente tuas misericórdias, tu salvas aos que confiam em ti com tua mão direita daqueles que se levantam contra ti.

7Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

8Guarda-me como a pupila do olho; esconde-me debaixo da sombra de tuas asas,

8Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

9De diante dos perversos que me oprimem; dos meus mortais inimigos que me cercam.

9From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

10Eles se enchem de gordura; com sua boca falam arrogantemente.

10They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.

11Agora eles têm nos cercado em nossos passos; eles fixam seus olhos para nos derrubar ao chão.

11They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;

12Semelhantes ao leão, que deseja nos despedaçar, e ao leãozinho, que fica em esconderijos.

12Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

13Levanta-te, SENHOR, confronta-o, derruba-o; livra minha alma d as mãos do perverso com tua espada.

13Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:

14Dos homens com tua mão, SENHOR, dos homens que são do mundo, cuja parte está n esta vida, cujo ventre enches de teu secreto tesouro; os filhos se fartam, e deixam sua sobra para suas crianças.

14From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

15Mas eu olharei para teu rosto em justiça; serei satisfeito de tua semelhança, quando eu despertar.

15As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
