Salmos 46

1Cântico sobre “Alamote”; para o regente, dos filhos de Coré: Deus é nosso refúgio e força; socorro oportuno nas angústias.

1To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2Por isso não temeremos, ainda que a terra se mova, e ainda que as montanhas passem ao interior dos mares;

2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3Ainda que suas águas rujam e se perturbem, e as montanhas tremam por sua braveza. (Selá)

3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4Há um rio cujos ribeiros alegram a cidade de Deus, o santuário das habitações do Altíssimo.

4There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

5Deus está no meio dela; ela não será abalada; Deus a ajudará ao romper da manhã.

5God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

6As nações gritarão, os reinos se abalarão; quando ele levantou a sua voz, a terra se dissolveu.

6The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7O SENHOR dos exércitos está conosco; o Deus de Jacó é nosso alto refúgio. (Selá)

7The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8Vinde, observai os feitos do SENHOR, que faz assolações na terra;

8Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9Que termina as guerras até o fim da terra; ele quebra o arco e corta a lança; ele queima os carros com fogo.

9He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10Ficai quietos, e sabei que eu sou Deus; eu serei exaltado entre as nações; serei exaltado sobre a terra.

10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
