Salmos 47

1Salmo para o regente, dos filhos de Coré: Vós todos os povos, batei palmas; clamai a Deus com voz de alegria.

1To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2Porque o SENHOR Altíssimo é temível, o grande Rei sobre toda a terra.

2For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

3Ele subjugará aos povos debaixo de nós, e as nações debaixo de nossos pés.

3He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

4Ele escolhe para nós nossa herança, a glória de Jacó, a quem ele amou. (Selá)

4He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

5Deus sobe com gritos de alegria; o SENHOR, com voz de trombeta.

5God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

6Cantai louvores a Deus, cantai; cantai louvores ao nosso Rei, cantai.

6Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7Porque Deus é o Rei de toda a terra; cantai louvores com entendimento.

7For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

8Deus reina sobre as nações; Deus se senta sobre o trono de sua santidade.

8God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

9Os chefes dos povos se juntaram ao povo do Deus de Abraão, porque os escudos da terra pertencem a Deus, e ele é muito exaltado.

9The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
