1Para o regente, conforme “Susanedute”. Samo de Asafe: Ó Pastor de Israel, inclina teus ouvidos a mim, tu que pastoreias a José como a ovelhas, que habitas entre os querubins, mostra teu brilho,

1To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.

2Perante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder, e vem para nos salvar.

2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.

3Restaura-nos, Deus, e faz brilhar o teu rosto; e assim seremos salvos.

3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

4Ó SENHOR Deus dos exércitos, até quando ficarás irritado contra a oração de teu povo?

4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

5Tu os alimentas com pão de lágrimas, e lhes faz beber lágrimas com grande medida.

5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.

6Puseste-nos como a briga de nossos vizinhos, e nossos inimigos zombam de nós.

6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.

7Restaura-nos, ó Deus dos exércitos, e faz brilhar o teu rosto; e assim seremos salvos.

7Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

8Tu transportaste tua vinha do Egito, tiraste as nações, e a plantaste.

8Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

9Preparaste um lugar para ela, e a fizeste estender suas raízes, e ela encheu a terra.

9Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.

10Os montes foram cobertos pela sombra dela, e seus ramos se tornaram como o dos mais fortes cedros.

10The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.

11Ela espalhou seus ramos até o mar, e seus brotos até o rio.

11She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.

12Por que pois quebraste seus muros, de modo que os que passam arrancam seus frutos?

12Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?

13O porco do campo a destruiu; os animais selvagens a devoraram.

13The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.

14Ó Deus dos exércitos, volta, te pedimos; olha desde os céus, e vê, e visita esta vinha;

14Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

15E a videira que tua mão direita plantou; o ramo que fortificaste para ti.

15And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

16Ela está queimada pelo fogo, e cortada; perecem pela repreensão de tua face.

16It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17Seja tua mão sobre o homem de tua mão direita, sobre o filho do homem a quem fortificaste para ti.

17Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

18Assim não desviaremos de ti; guarda-nos em vida, e chamaremos o teu nome.

18So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

19SENHOR Deus dos exércitos, restaura-nos; faz brilhar o teu rosto, e assim seremos salvos.

19Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
