Salmos 83

1Cântico e Salmo de Asafe: Deus, não fiques em silêncio; não estejas indiferente, nem fiques quieto, ó Deus.

1A Song or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

2Porque eis que teus inimigos fazem barulho, e aqueles que te odeiam levantam a cabeça.

2For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

3Planejam astutos conselhos contra teu povo, e se reúnem para tramar contra teus preciosos.

3They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

4Eles disseram: Vinde, e os destruamos, para que não sejam mais um povo, e nunca mais seja lembrado o nome de Israel.

4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5Porque tomaram conselhos com uma só intenção; fizeram aliança contra ti:

5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

6As tendas de Edom, e dos ismaelitas, de Moabe, e dos agarenos;

6The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

7De Gebal, e de Amom, e de Amaleque; dos filisteus, com os moradores de Tiro.

7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8A Assíria também se aliou a eles; eles foram a força dos filhos de Ló. (Selá)

8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

9Faze a eles como a Midiã, como a Sísera, como a Jabim no ribeiro de Quisom,

9Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

10Que pereceram em Endor; vieram a ser esterco da terra.

10Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

11Faze a eles e a seus nobres como a Orebe, e como Zeebe; e a todos os seus príncipes como a Zebá, e como a Zalmuna,

11Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

12Que disseram: Tomemos posse para nós dos terrenos de Deus.

12Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

13Deus meu, faze-os como a um redemoinho, como a palhas perante o vento;

13O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14Como o fogo, que queima uma floresta, e como a labareda que incendeia as montanhas.

14As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15Persegue-os assim com tua tempestade, e assombra-os com o teu forte vento.

15So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16Enche os rostos deles de vergonha, para que busquem o teu nome, SENHOR.

16Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

17Sejam envergonhados e assombrados para sempre, e sejam humilhados, e pereçam.

17Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18Para que saibam que tu, (e teu nome é EU-SOU), és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.

18That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
