1Eu, Tomé, israelita, escrevo-vos este relato, para que todos os irmãos vindos dentre os gentios conheçam os milagres de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo em sua infância, os quais ele fez depois do seu nascimento em nossa terra.

1I Thomas, an Israelite, write you this account, that all the brethren from among the heathen may know the miracles of our Lord Jesus Christ in His infancy, which He did after His birth in our country.
