1Nahum the prophet: he was from Elkesin, beyond the Jordan, in Begabar, of the tribe of Simeon.
2Depois de Jonas, este homem deu um sinal acerca de Nínive: que seria destruída por águas doces e fogo terrestre; o que também aconteceu.
2After Jonah, this man gave a sign concerning Nineveh, that it would be destroyed by sweet waters and earthly fire; which also came to pass.
3Pois o lago que a circunda, num terremoto, e fogo vindo do deserto queimaram todas as suas partes mais altas.
3For the lake that surrounds it, in an earthquake, and fire coming from the wilderness, burned all its higher parts.
4E Naum morreu em paz e foi sepultado na sua terra, Begabar.
4And Nahum died in peace, and was buried in his own land, Begabar.
