1Zechariah, another prophet and priest: he was the son of Jodae the priest, and father of John the Baptist.

2This man Herod the king slew beside the altar and the house of the Lord.

3He was from Jerusalem, of the house of David, in the midst of the Elam, out of the house of the Lord.

4Profetizou acerca da geração de Cristo.

4He prophesied concerning the generation of Christ.

5There, then, they buried him in the house of God, near the temple of the Lord.

6From that time many portents and apparitions occurred in the temple, and the priests were no longer able to see a vision of angels, nor to give oracles to the people in the Dabeir, nor to inquire by the Ephod, nor to answer by the Urim, until that day.
