1E naqueles dias, num só lugar, os pais juntamente com os seus filhos serão feridos, e os irmãos cairão uns com os outros na morte, até que os ribeiros corram com o seu sangue.

1And in those days in one place the fathers together with their sons shall be smitten And brothers one with another shall fall in death Till the streams flow with their blood.

2Porque o homem não reterá a sua mão de matar os seus filhos e os filhos dos seus filhos, e o pecador não reterá a sua mão do seu irmão honrado; desde a aurora até o pôr do sol se matarão uns aos outros.

2For a man shall not withhold his hand from slaying his sons and his sons’ sons, And the sinner shall not withhold his hand from his honoured brother: From dawn till sunset they shall slay one another.

3E o cavalo andará até o peito no sangue dos pecadores, e o carro ficará submerso até a sua altura.

3And the horse shall walk up to the breast in the blood of sinners, And the chariot shall be submerged to its height.

4Naqueles dias os anjos descerão aos lugares secretos e ajuntarão num só lugar todos os que fizeram descer o pecado; e o Altíssimo se levantará naquele dia do juízo para executar grande juízo entre os pecadores.

4In those days the angels shall descend into the secret places And gather together into one place all those who brought down sin, And the Most High will arise on that day of judgement To execute great judgement amongst sinners.

5E sobre todos os justos e santos ele designará guardas dentre os santos anjos, para os guardarem como a menina do olho, até que dê fim a toda maldade e a todo pecado; e, ainda que os justos durmam um longo sono, nada têm que temer.

5And over all the righteous and holy He will appoint guardians from amongst the holy angels To guard them as the apple of an eye, Until He makes an end of all wickedness and all sin, And though the righteous sleep a long sleep, they have nought to fear.

6E então os filhos da terra verão os sábios em segurança, e entenderão todas as palavras deste livro, e reconhecerão que as suas riquezas não os poderão salvar na ruína dos seus pecados.

6And then the children of the earth shall see the wise in security, And shall understand all the words of this book, And recognize that their riches shall not be able to save them In the overthrow of their sins.

7Ai de vós, pecadores, no dia da forte angústia, vós que afligis os justos e os queimais com fogo; sereis retribuídos segundo as vossas obras.

7Woe to you, Sinners, on the day of strong anguish, Ye who afflict the righteous and burn them with fire: Ye shall be requited according to your works.

8Ai de vós, obstinados de coração, que vigiais para tramar a maldade; por isso o temor virá sobre vós, e não haverá quem vos ajude.

8Woe to you, ye obstinate of heart, Who watch in order to devise wickedness: Therefore shall fear come upon you And there shall be none to help you.

9Ai de vós, pecadores, por causa das palavras da vossa boca, e por causa das obras das vossas mãos que a vossa impiedade praticou; em chamas ardentes, que queimam pior que o fogo, ardereis.

9Woe to you, ye sinners, on account of the words of your mouth, And on account of the deeds of your hands which your godlessness has wrought, In blazing flames burning worse than fire shall ye burn.

10E agora sabei que ele inquirirá dos anjos a respeito das vossas obras no céu, e do sol, e da lua, e das estrelas, a respeito dos vossos pecados, porque sobre a terra executais juízo sobre os justos.

10And now, know ye that from the angels He will inquire as to your deeds in heaven, from the sun and from the moon and from the stars in reference to your sins because upon the earth ye execute judgement on the righteous.

11E convocará para testificar contra vós toda nuvem, e névoa, e orvalho, e chuva; porque todos serão retidos por vossa causa de descer sobre vós, e se lembrarão dos vossos pecados.

11And He will summon to testify against you every cloud and mist and dew and rain; for they shall all be withheld because of you from descending upon you, and they shall be mindful of your sins.

12E agora dai presentes à chuva, para que não seja retida de descer sobre vós, nem tampouco o orvalho, quando tiver recebido de vós ouro e prata, para que desça.

12And now give presents to the rain that it be not withheld from descending upon you, nor yet the dew, when it has received gold and silver from you that it may descend.

13Quando a geada e a neve com o seu frio, e todas as tempestades de neve com todas as suas pragas caírem sobre vós, naqueles dias não podereis estar em pé diante delas.

13When the hoar-frost and snow with their chilliness, and all the snow-storms with all their plagues fall upon you, in those days ye shall not be able to stand before them.
