Apocalipse de Abraão 17

1E, enquanto ele ainda falava, eis que o fogo veio contra nós por todos os lados, e havia no fogo uma voz como a de muitas águas, como o som do mar em sua agitação.

1And while he yet spake (and) lo! fire came against us round about, and a voice was in the fire like a voice of many waters, like the sound of the sea in its uproar.

2E o anjo inclinou a cabeça comigo e adorou.

2And the angel bent his head with me and worshipped.

3Eu quis prostrar-me sobre a terra, e o lugar elevado em que estávamos [ora se erguia,] ora rolava para baixo.

3And I desired to fall down upon the earth, and the high place, on which we stood, [at one moment rose upright,] but at another rolled downwards.

4E ele disse: "Apenas adora, Abraão, e entoa o cântico que te ensinei", pois não havia terra sobre a qual me prostrar.

4And he said: " Only worship, Abraham, and utter the song which I have taught thee; " because there was no earth to fall upon.

5Então apenas adorei e entoei o cântico que ele me ensinara.

5And I worshipped only, and uttered the song which he had taught me.

6E ele disse: "Recita sem cessar."

6And he said: " Recite without ceasing."

7Eu recitei, e ele próprio recitou o cântico comigo: Eterno, poderoso, Santo, El, Deus único — Supremo!

7And I recited, and he also himself with me recited the song: Eternal, mighty, Holy, El, God only — Supreme!

8Tu, que existes por Ti mesmo, incorruptível, sem mancha, incriado, imaculado, imortal, completo em Ti mesmo, que Te iluminas por Ti mesmo; sem pai, sem mãe, não gerado, Exaltado, Ser de fogo!

8Thou who art self-originated, incorruptible, spotless, Uncreate, immaculate, immortal, Self-complete, self-illuminating; Without father, without mother, unbegotten, Exalted, fiery One!

9Amante dos homens, benevolente, generoso, zeloso por mim e muito compassivo; Eli, isto é, Meu Deus — Eterno, poderoso, santo Sabaote, muito glorioso.

9Lover of men, benevolent, bountiful, jealous over me and very compassionate; Eli, that is, My God— Eternal, mighty holy Sabaoth, very glorious.

10El, El, El, El, Jaoel!

10El, El, El, El, Jaoel!

11Tu és Aquele a quem minha alma amou!

11Thou art He whom my soul hath loved!

12Protetor Eterno, que brilha como fogo, cuja voz é como o trovão, cujo olhar é como o relâmpago, que tudo vês e recebes as orações dos que Te honram!

12Eternal Protector, shining like fire, Whose voice is like the thunder, Whose look is like the lightning, all-seeing, Who receiveth the prayers of such as honour Thee!

13[E desvias o olhar dos pedidos daqueles que causam embaraço com o embaraço de suas provocações; Tu desfazes as confusões do mundo que surgem dos ímpios e dos justos na era corruptível, renovando a era dos justos!]

13[And turneth away from the requests of such as embarrass with the embarrassment of their provocations, Who dissolveth the confusions of the world which arise from the ungodly and righteous in the corruptible age, renewing the age of the righteous!]

14Tu, ó Luz, brilhas antes da luz da manhã sobre Tuas criaturas, [para que se faça dia sobre a terra,] e em Tuas moradas celestiais não há necessidade de outra luz além (daquela) do esplendor inefável das luzes de Teu rosto.

14Thou, O Light, shinest before the light of the morning upon Thy creatures, [so that it becometh day upon the earth,] And in Thy heavenly dwelling places there is no need of any other light than (that) of the unspeakable splendour from the lights of Thy countenance.

15Aceita minha oração [e agrada-Te dela], como também o sacrifício que preparaste para Ti por meu intermédio, eu que Te busquei!

15Accept my prayer [and be well-pleased with it], likewise also the sacrifice which Thou hast prepared Thee through me who sought Thee!

16Recebe-me favoravelmente, mostra-me, ensina-me e dá a conhecer a Teu servo o que me prometeste!

16Accept me favourably, and shew me, and teach me, And make known to Thy servant as thou hast promised me!
