Ascensão de Isaías 5

1Por causa destas visões, pois, Beliar irou-se contra Isaías, e habitou no coração de Manassés, e o serrou ao meio com uma serra de madeira.

1ON account of these visions, therefore, Beliar was wroth with Isaiah, and he dwelt in the heart of Manasseh and he sawed him in sunder with a wooden saw.

2E quando Isaías estava sendo serrado ao meio, Belquira levantou-se, acusando-o, e todos os falsos profetas levantaram-se, rindo e alegrando-se por causa de Isaías.

2And when Isaiah was being sawn in sunder, Belchira stood up, accusing him, and all the false prophets stood up, laughing and rejoicing because of Isaiah.

3E Belquira, com o auxílio de Mequembeco, levantou-se diante de Isaías, [rindo] escarnecendo;

3And Belchira, with the aid of Mechembechus, stood up before Isaiah, [laughing] deriding;

4E Belquira disse a Isaías: 'Dize: "Menti em tudo o que falei, e do mesmo modo os caminhos de Manassés são bons e retos.

4And Belchira said to Isaiah: 'Say, "I have lied in all that I have spoken, and likewise the ways of Manasseh are good and right.

5E os caminhos de Belquira e dos seus companheiros também são bons."'

5And the ways also of Belchira and of his associates are good."

6E isto lhe disse quando começou a ser serrado ao meio.

6And this he said to him when he began to be sawn in sunder.

7Mas Isaías estava (absorto) numa visão do Senhor, e ainda que os seus olhos estivessem abertos, não os via.

7But Isaiah was (absorbed) in a vision of the Lord, and though his eyes were open, he saw them (not).

8E Belquira falou assim a Isaías: "Dize o que eu te digo, e virarei os seus corações, e obrigarei Manassés e os príncipes de Judá e o povo e toda Jerusalém a te reverenciar.

8And Belchira spake thus to Isaiah: "Say what I say unto thee and I will turn their hearts, and I will compel Manasseh and the princes of Judah and the people and all Jerusalem to reverence thee.

9E Isaías respondeu e disse: "Enquanto tenho fala, (digo): Maldito e acusado sejas tu e todos os teus poderes e toda a tua casa.

9And Isaiah answered and said: "So far as I have utterance (I say): Damned and accused be thou and all thy powers and all thy house.

10Pois nada podes tirar (de mim) senão a pele do meu corpo."

10For thou canst not take (from me) aught save the skin of my body."

11E prenderam e serraram ao meio Isaías, filho de Amós, com uma serra de madeira.

11And they seized and sawed in sunder Isaiah, the son of Amoz, with a wooden saw.

12E Manassés e Belquira e os falsos profetas e os príncipes e o povo [e] todos ficaram olhando.

12And Manasseh and Belchira and the false prophets and the princes and the people [and] all stood looking on.

13E aos profetas que estavam com ele disse, antes de ser serrado ao meio: "Ide à região de Tiro e Sidom; pois somente para mim Deus misturou o cálice."

13And to the prophets who were with him he said before he had been sawn in sunder: "Go ye to the region of Tyre and Sidon; for me only hath God mingled the cup."

14E quando Isaías estava sendo serrado ao meio, não gritou nem chorou, mas os seus lábios falavam pelo Espírito Santo até que foi serrado em dois.

14And when Isaiah was being sawn in sunder, he neither cried aloud nor wept, but his lips spake with the Holy Spirit until he was sawn in twain.

15Isto Beliar fez a Isaías por meio de Belquira e de Manassés; pois Samael estava muito irado contra Isaías desde os dias de Ezequias, rei de Judá, por causa das coisas que ele tinha visto a respeito do Amado.

15This, Beliar did to Isaiah through Belchira and Manasseh; for Sammael was very wrathful against Isaiah from the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, on account of the things which he had seen regarding the Beloved.

16E por causa da destruição de Samael, que ele tinha visto por meio do Senhor, quando Ezequias, seu pai, ainda era rei. E fez segundo a vontade de Satanás.

16And on account of the destruction of Sammael, which he had seen through the Lord, while Hezekiah his father was still king. And he did according to the will of Satan.
