Inácio aos Filadélfios 11

1Mas quanto a Fílon, o diácono da Cilícia, varão de bom testemunho, o qual agora também me assiste no ministério da palavra de Deus, juntamente com Reio Agatópode, homem eleito que me segue desde a Síria, tendo renunciado a esta vida presente; estes dão testemunho de vós — e eu próprio dou graças a Deus por vós, porquanto os recebestes, como confio que o Senhor vos receberá. Mas aqueles que os ultrajaram sejam resgatados pela graça de Jesus Cristo.

1But as touching Philo the deacon from Cilicia, a man of good report, who now also ministereth to me in the word of God, together with Rhaius Agathopus, an elect one who followeth me from Syria, having bidden farewell to this present life; the same who also bear witness to you -- and I myself thank God on your behalf, because ye received them, as I trust the Lord will receive you. But may those who treated them with dishonour be redeemed through the grace of Jesus Christ.

2O amor dos irmãos que estão em Trôade vos saúda; de onde também vos escrevo por intermédio de Burro, enviado comigo pelos efésios e esmirniotas para me honrar. O Senhor os honrará, sim, Jesus Cristo, no qual repousa a esperança deles na carne, na alma e no espírito, pela fé, pelo amor e pela concórdia. Passai bem em Cristo Jesus, nossa comum esperança.

2The love of the brethren which are in Troas saluteth you; from whence also I write to you by the hand of Burrhus, who was sent with me by the Ephesians and Smyrnaeans as a mark of honour. The Lord shall honour them, even Jesus Christ, on whom their hope is set in flesh and soul and spirit, by faith, by love, by concord. Fare ye well in Christ Jesus our common hope.
