Odes de Salomão 22

1Aquele que me faz descer do alto; E me faz subir das regiões inferiores;

1He who brings me down from on high; And brings me up from the regions below;

2E que reúne as coisas que estão de permeio E as lança para mim;

2And who gathers the things that are betwixt And throws them to me;

3Aquele que dispersou os meus inimigos E os meus adversários;

3He who scattered my enemies And my adversaries;

4Aquele que me deu autoridade sobre as cadeias, Para que eu as soltasse;

4He who gave me authority over bonds, That I might loose them;

5Aquele que derrubou pelas minhas mãos o dragão de sete cabeças, E me pôs às suas raízes para que eu destruísse a sua semente--

5He that overthrew by my hands the dragon with seven heads, And set me at his roots that I might destroy his seed--

6Tu estavas ali e me ajudaste; E em todo lugar o teu nome estava ao meu redor.

6Thou wast there and didst help me; And in every place Thy name was round about me.

7A tua mão direita destruiu o seu veneno maligno; E a tua mão aplainou o caminho para os que creem em ti;

7Thy right hand destroyed his wicked venom; And thy hand levelled the way for those who believe in thee;

8E os escolheu dentre as sepulturas, E os separou dos mortos.

8And it chose them from the graves, And separated them from the dead.

9Tomou ossos mortos, E cobriu-os de corpos;

9It took dead bones, And covered them with bodies;

10E estavam imóveis, E deu-lhes (a eles) energia para a vida.

10And they were motionless, And it gave (them) energy for life.

11O teu caminho era sem corrupção, e o teu rosto; Trouxeste o teu mundo à corrupção; Para que tudo fosse dissolvido e renovado, E para que o fundamento de tudo fosse a tua rocha; E sobre ela edificaste o teu Reino; E tornaste-te a morada dos santos. Aleluia.

11Thy way was without corruption and thy face; Thou didst bring thy world to corruption; That everything might be dissolved and renewed, And that the foundation for everything might be thy rock; And on it thou didst build thy Kingdom; And thou becamest the dwelling-place of the saints. Hallelujah.
