Testamento de Isaque 8

1E quando Ele terminou este discurso, os Celestiais começaram a clamar, dizendo: Santo, Santo, Santo é o Senhor Sabaoth; o Céu e a Terra estão cheios da tua santa Glória.

1And when He had finished this discourse the Heavenly Ones began to cry out, saying, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Sabaoth, the Heaven and the Earth are full of thy hallowed Glory.

2O Pai que tudo sustém respondeu do seu lugar santo e disse: Ó Miguel, meu servo fiel, reúne todos os Anjos e todos os Santos.

2The Father who holdeth all answered from His hallowed place and said, O Michael my faithful servant, call together all the Angels and all the Saints.

3E monta no carro dos Serafins, e ordena aos querubins que vão adiante.

3And ride upon the chariot of the Seraphim, and command the cherubim to go before.

4E quando Ele disse isto, Jacó ficou fora de si, e agarrou-se a seu pai, e o beijou chorando.

4And when He had said this, Jacob was carried beyond himself, and he clung to his father and kissed him weeping.

5Então Nosso Pai Isaque fê-lo pôr-se de pé e fez-lhe sinais, acenando com os olhos: Cala-te, ó meu filho.

5Then our Father Isaac made him stand upright and made signs to him, glancing with his eyes, Be silent, O my son.

6Então Abraão disse ao Senhor: Ó Senhor, lembra-te também do meu filho Jacó.

6Then said Abraham to the Lord, O Lord, likewise remember my son Jacob.

7E o Senhor lhe disse: A minha força estará com ele, e ele glorificará o meu nome, e será senhor da terra da promessa, e o inimigo não terá domínio sobre ele.

7And the Lord said to him, My strength shall be with him and he shall glorify my name, and he shall be lord of the land of promise, and the enemy shall not have dominion over him.

8E Nosso Pai Isaque disse a Jacó: Ó meu filho, guarda a minha ordem de moribundo, que hoje te dou a conhecer, para a guarda segura do meu corpo.

8And our Father Isaac said to Jacob, O my son, keep my dying charge, that I make known to thee this day for the safe keeping of my body.

9Não ofenderás a imagem de DEUS no que fizeres, porque a imagem do homem foi feita à imagem de Deus; e assim fará Deus contigo no tempo em que O encontrares e O contemplares.

9Thou shalt not injure the image of GoD in that which thou doest, for the image of man was made in the image of God; and thus will God do to thee at the time when thou meetest Him and beholdest Him.

10E este é o princípio e o fim, como disse Nosso Pai.

10And this is the beginning and the end as our Father hath said.

11E quando ele disse isto, o Senhor tirou a sua alma do seu corpo, branca como a neve, e a recebeu, e a levou consigo no seu carro sagrado, e subiu com ela aos céus, enquanto os Querubins cantavam louvores diante dela, e os seus santos Anjos; e deu-lhe o Reino do céu e todas aquelas graças que dão satisfação, as quais Nosso Pai desejava.

11And when he had said this the Lord took his soul from his body white as snow, and He received it and carried it with Him upon His. sacred chariot and went up with it to the heavens, while the Cherubim sang praises before it and His holy Angels, and He gave to him the Kingdom of heaven and all those graces that give satisfaction which our Father desired.

12Deus lhas deu, e o cumprimento da sua aliança é para sempre.

12God gave him them, and the fulfilment of His covenant is for ever.

13Tal foi o falecimento de Nosso Pai Abraão e de Nosso Pai Isaque, filho de Abraão, no dia 28 do mês de Misri, neste mesmo dia; e a ele o temos por santo e por profeta.

13Such was the decease of our Father Abraham and our Father Isaac son of Abraham on the 28th day of the month Misri, on this selfsame day; and him we regard as holy and as a prophet.

14E no dia em que Nosso Pai Abraão trouxe a oferta a Deus, no vigésimo oitavo dia do mês de Amshir, o Céu e a Terra se encheram do suave aroma do seu andar diante do Senhor.

14And on the day on which our Father Abraham brought the offering to God on the eight and twentieth day of the month Amshir, the Heaven and the Earth were filled with the sweet savour of his walk before the Lord.

15E Nosso Pai Isaque era como a prata que é queimada, que é fundida, que é purificada da escória, tornada pura pelo fogo; e do mesmo modo, todo aquele que mostrar a generosidade de Nosso Pai Isaque (isto é, der esmolas em sua honra), Pai dos Pais, no dia em que Abraão, o Pai dos Pais, o trouxe em oferta a Deus, o suave aroma da sua oferta subirá até ao véu interior Daquele que tudo sustém.

15And our Father Isaac was as silver that is burned, that is melted, that is purified from dross, made pure by fire; and in like manner, whosoever shall display the bounty of our Father Isaac (ie. give alms in his honour) Father of the Fathers, on the day on which Abraham the Father of the Fathers brought him as an offering to God, the sweet savour of his offering shall ascend toward the inner curtain of Him Who holds all.

16Felizes todos os que mostrarem misericórdia no dia da memória do Pai dos Pais, Abraão, e de Nosso Pai Isaque, porque terão morada no Reino dos Céus, pois Nosso Senhor os introduziu na Sua aliança segura para sempre.

16Happy are all who shall shew mercy on the day of the memorial of the Father of the Fathers Abraham and of our Father Isaac, for they shall have a dwelling in the Kingdom of the Heavens, because our Lord hath brought them into His sure covenant for ever.

17E Ele a guardará para eles e para os que vierem depois deles, dizendo-lhes: Todos os que fizerem misericórdia em nome do meu amado Isaque, em verdade eu os darei a vós no Reino dos Céus.

17And He will keep it for them and for those who shall come after them, saying to them, All who do mercy in the name of my beloved Isaac, verily I will give them to you in the Kingdom of the Heavens.

18E Ele estará presente com eles na primeira hora da festa dos mil anos, para que celebrem a festa em luz eterna no Reino de Nosso Senhor, e nosso Deus, e nosso Rei, e nosso Salvador Jesus, o Cristo.

18And He shall be present with them at the first hour of the feast of the thousand years, that they may keep festival in everlasting light in the Kingdom of our Lord and our God and our King and our Saviour Jesus the Christ.

19Este é Aquele a quem são devidos glória, majestade, força, domínio, reverência, honra, louvor e adoração, com o Pai Misericordioso e o Espírito de Santidade, agora e em todos os tempos, pelos séculos dos séculos, e para sempre e sempre.

19This is He to Whom is due glory and majesty and strength and dominion and reverence and honour and praise and worship, with the Merciful Father and the Spirit of Holiness, now and for all times to the ages of the ages and to everlasting of everlasting.

20Amém.

21Está terminada a história do falecimento de Nosso Pai Isaque; e sejam dadas graças e louvor a Deus para sempre e eternamente!

21The story of the decease of our Father Isaac is finished; and the thanks and the praise be to God for ever and aye!
