Elijah the prophet: he was from Thesbon [from the land of the Arabians], of the tribe of Aaron, dwelling in Gilead; for Thesbis was a dwelling given to the priests.

And when his mother bore him, Sobac his father saw a vision: that men of shining white were greeting him, and that they wrapped him in swaddling clothes of fire, and gave him a flame of fire to eat.

And going to Jerusalem, he reported it to the priests.

And the oracle said to him: "Do not be afraid; for the dwelling of your child shall be light, and his word a decree, and he shall judge Israel with sword and with fire."

This is Elijah, who a third time brought down fire from heaven, and held back the rain by his own tongue, and raised the dead, and was taken up into heaven in a whirlwind of fire.
